How to Make the Perfect Chicken Fillet Roll

Everyone has a favourite comfort food, and at Town House Deli, our chicken fillet roll is legendary. Crispy, juicy chicken goujons, fresh salad, and the perfect bread make all the difference, and today, we’re sharing how you can make your own at home.

The Bread Matters
Start with a fresh, soft roll. We use Bakehouse of Cashel rolls in our stores. The bread should be slightly warm to hold the fillings perfectly without becoming soggy.
You Need Crispy, Homemade Chicken Goujons
Coat chicken fillets in seasoned breadcrumbs and fry until golden and cooked through. For extra flavour, you can marinate the chicken in buttermilk or lightly spiced seasoning beforehand.
Fresh Salad & Toppings
Freshness is key. Lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and our own freshly prepared deli salads add crunch, moisture, and flavour.
Putting it All Together
Layer your fillings carefully, start with the butter and/or mayo and then add your chicken, then salad, and finally a drizzle of your favourite sauce. Press gently, but don’t squish; you want each bite to be perfect.
Optional Extras
Cheese is not for everyone but a good bit of shredded cheddar can add additional flavour. Don't add too much though, we don't want the cheese to overwhelm us.
